Regan Hunter

International Officer

My name is Regan, and I'm currently an International Anthropology and Archaeology student from the USA and Canada in my third and final year of study. As International President, my main focus is to ensure that international student representation is

As International President, I lead the team of international freshers' representatives (I-Freps) during International Freshers' Week and the international committee for the entire academic year. I also work closely with the International Welfare Officer to ensure that all international students' needs and concerns are met.

My tasks for the year include organising and running a smooth International Freshers' week. This includes overseeing and helping early international move-ins, arranging social events, including the International Bop in partnership with ISA and helping international students adjust to daily life in the UK. Post Freshers' Week, I will ensure that we have two events per term celebrating our international community at Castle. These events can include social gatherings, cultural celebrations and/or holidays or support sessions. Many exciting opportunities to get involved will be available. As International President, I'm also a main point of contact if an International Student needs help and along with the International Welfare Officer, will be one of the main people reviewing and responding to the International Welfare Form. If you have any questions or need any help, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Favourite Castle Memory: I have many memories that are near and dear to my heart, but perhaps one of my favourites was having a paper aeroplane throwing competition off the Minstrels Gallery during a late-night study session. I also loved frepping in my second year and created so many close friends and memories from that time.
