Emma Dal Bianco

Hi!!! I'm Emma, a finalist studying Philosophy and Politics, and I am delighted to be your J.C.R. Archivist for 2026/27! As Archivist, my role is primarily to preserve the J.C.R. collective heritage through the curation of historically significant objects, documents and traditions, as well as the management of the J.C.R. Archive itself. For my fellow knowledge seekers, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about our extraordinary home and the remarkable history that surrounds it. When I'm not buried beneath dreadfully long essays for my degree, you will usually find me gazing rather lovingly at the artworks around the Castle or absorbed in a book in the courtyard.

Favourite Castle Memory: Among many, I would say my favourite Castle memory would probably be spending over 8 hours in the J.C.R. painting banners for Castle Day, fuelled by some questionable artistic decisions and some even more questionable background tunes, carefully selected by our former Social Chair!
