Felix O’Brien

Hello! I'm Felix, a third year PPE student and your Vice Senior Student for 2026/27. As VSS I'm responsible for a lot of the general functioning of the JCR - you'll see me doing all sorts of jobs including managing orders for stash and tankards, running college open days, running elections, leading various committees, developing alumni relations (building on my predecessors' work), and publishing the weekly JCR newsletter. Keep an eye out for emails from me and posts on the JCR Facebook (which will be created at the beginning of Michaelmas term) to stay updated about everything going on in Castle!

When I'm not doing JCR admin or my degree, I'm typically found playing (or flaking on playing) tennis and padel, playing Blood on the Clocktower, eating, or sleeping. I'm almost always in college and am always happy to chat, especially if you want to know more about how to get involved in Castle! There are plenty of roles that are elected in Michaelmas term, particularly at the first JCR Meeting after Freshers' Week. Favourite Castle Memory: There have been so many good memories! Castle Day 2025 was probably my favourite day in college - the weather was amazing, Jubel was freshly on tap, the Castle Ranger challenge was very entertaining to watch, and everyone was just having a great time. Frepping (helping run Freshers' Week) last year was another highlight, it's something I'm really looking forward to doing again after the summer and an opportunity I can't recommend enough to everyone in college! Otherwise, standing on Minstrels' Gallery watching people enjoy the last few hours of Ladies Night 2025, having put a lot of work into the event, was immensely satisfying (my apologies to a certain finalist who I asked to leave the event prematurely).
