I'm Jessica and I'm the JCR Welfare Officer for the academic year 25/26!

The JCR Welfare Officer and the JCR Welfare Team functions as a confidential active listening service for any student in the JCR. We run events throughout term, and are always on hand for a chat or a cup of tea. We function as a signposting service for students that may need emotional, financial, academic or housing advice. The Welfare and Campaigns Teams are headed by both the Welfare Officer and Campaigns Officer and work alongside one another to deliver campaigns within college.

We also offer free sexual and reproductive health supplies which can be discreetly accessed. This includes but is not limited to: condoms, lubricant, sanitary products, pregnancy tests, ear plugs, and sleeping masks.

I am in my third year studying Business and Management and I enjoy going to the gym. I am a first-generation local student who lived at home during my first two years of university but I am looking forward to moving into college for my third year so hope to see you around and welcome you into our college!
