Jessica Dailey

Welfare Officer

I'm Jessica and I'm the JCR Welfare Officer for the academic year 26/27!

I, along with the rest of the JCR Welfare Team, function as a confidential active listening service for any student in the JCR. We run events throughout the year, and are always on hand for a chat or a cup of tea. We also signpost students who may need emotional, financial, academic or housing advice. In addition, I work alongside the Campaigns Officer and rest of the Welfare Team to deliver a variety of informative and engaging campaigns within college.

We also offer free sexual and reproductive health supplies which can be discreetly accessed. This includes but is not limited to: condoms, lubricant, sanitary products, and pregnancy tests.

I am completing my Masters in Marketing after finishing my undergraduate degree in Business and Management at Durham University last summer. I am a first-generation local student who lived at home during my first two years of university but I also moved into college for the third year of my undergraduate degree. I look forward to seeing you around and welcoming you into our college!

Favourite Castle Memory: It's very difficult to pick just one; I have had such an incredible three years! From sitting on high table for the first time and reading grace, to singing Angels at Halfway Hall in second year and meeting the most amazing people, I am so lucky that Castle has given me so many special memories that it's impossible to pick one. There truly is nothing quite like Castle.
